Don't you just hate it when the "famous places" are underconstruction?! Don't they know that construction gets in the way of our "once-in-a-lifetime" shots?! Jeez!
So true. They should be required to give you a free plane ticket for each landmark you were unable to adequately photograph. Or at least a bottle of wine.
Actually, a lot of landmarks had scaffolding with full-size photos of the covered-up facade. That helped a bit, except when they also had billboards for the scaffolding sponsors--the realistic photo doesn't quite work if there's a BMW ad over half of it.
That reminds me, I should post some of those photos!
